DigitalFruitFly collects no data. Not on the website, not in the browser extension.

The website (digitalfly.fun)

Everything runs in your browser. The fly, its brain, and the experiment you can run all happen on your own computer. The site has no accounts, no analytics, no cookies, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do on the page is sent anywhere.

The Chrome extension

The extension draws a fly on top of the pages you visit and watches where your mouse is so the fly can react to it. That is all it does.

• It does not read, record, or change anything on any page.
• It does not collect browsing history, page content, keystrokes, or personal information.
• It does not send anything to us or to anyone else. It makes no network requests.
• The only thing it stores is its own settings — whether the fly is switched on, its size, and where the fly currently is — and it stores those in your own browser so that one fly can move between your tabs. That information never leaves your computer.

The only permission it asks Chrome for is storage, for the settings above. It needs to run on all websites because the fly is drawn on whatever page you happen to be on; that is the reason for the "read and change all your data on all websites" warning Chrome shows, and the reason it is not true in practice is that the code never reads anything.

Changes

If any of this ever changes, this page will change first, and the extension's store listing will say so.
